How To Save Money On Major Purchases
Not really a secret. The thing to do is ask around!
Need a new car? Or a reliable used one? Have appliances that should be replaced? Looking for a better interest rate to refinance your home? Want an upgrade on your computer system? Wondering what health or auto insurance would work best for you?
All those are legitimate concerns. We can do our own research, but sometimes it pays (literally!) to ask around. A person doesn't have to give up intimate details of their own financial situation to ask friends for good leads.
Don't be pushy, tho. If someone is uncomfortable talking about it, let it be. Someone else will be more than happy to brag about their good choices. And that brag will help point us to alternatives we may not have known about.
