With this being the weekend closest to the big consumer consumption event, retailers know they don't have to offer too many deals. They may advertize a super low price on one or two items just to get you into their store, but most of the store's prices will be close to the regular prices you took note of a couple of months ago. Even if the sign says "Sale."
Still, some of the deals you will find are pretty good. For instance:
Nikon D3200 with 18-55 kit lens is selling almost everywhere for about $100 off last month's price. Bedford Camera & Video has it for $499.99. As does Best Buy, Amazon, Adorama, etc... It's an awesome DSLR with a super fine resolution lens. Usually, an across the board price drop like this means a newer model is due to be released. Rumor is that the new model will have wifi built in and maybe some different menu options. Sensor and lens will be the same. This is the same 24+MP sensor family as in the D5200, D5300, and the pro-sumer D7100. So, if you're up for a new DSLR, D3200 is a great, and frugal, choice.
