This post is for one of our avid readers, Andria S. She has suggested this for a long time and I am just now posting it!! Yippee!
I am trying to get a little more organized and bring down our grocery budget so I decided to start planning a weekly menu with a breakdown of the cost of each meal. This is only an estimate for now. Also we are going to try to go two days a week eating a vegetarian meal, just trying to save money on meat. The prices have gone up so much recently!!
Here's what next week may look like:
SUNDAY- Steve's Famous Beans with Gluten free Cornbread (our first vegetarian meal for the week.) Salad
MONDAY-Baked Lemon Chicken with Green beans and onions (rice or pasta. I will just eat an extra serving of vegetables instead of pasta)
TUESDAY-Green Onion Turkey Burgers with Baked Potato Wedges (Simply Ore Ida) Fresh sliced tomato
WEDNESDAY-This is usually our leftover night
THURSDAY-Ground Turkey Taco Salad W/Tortilla Chips
FRIDAY-Vegetarian Gluten free Pot Pie!! with Salad
SATURDAY-Chicken Strips (non breaded) with Baked Beans Fresh tomato Wedges
WEEKLY AMOUNT SPENT ON DINNERS
Total Spent: $15.75 (for two people a week)
$2.62 a meal or $62.88 a month (24 meals)
