An often overlooked source of discounts are the online surveys from the register receipts of places like IHOP, Home Depot, etc...
They take very little time to complete, and we have received codes or coupons good for free things or discounts.
For example:
At IHOP, the current survey will get you a code for free hotcakes added on to any other non hotcake breakfast.
Home Depot recently gave me $$$ off a certain $$$ amount purchase which I also got a rebate on. There was substantial savings involved.
Some surveys simply enter you into a contest, but I just read the receipt before even going online to avoid wasting too much time. Pick and choose.
